Become a Master Composter! Waltham Place, Church Hill, White Waltham, Berkshire, SL6 3JH Friday 18th June 2010 ( 9:00am- 4:00pm)

The Master Composter for Schools Workshop immerses attendees in composting for a full day, focusing on the practical aspects relating to schools. As a result of this training attendees will be able to support their local schools and the wider community with composting, and to pass on the important messages behind the Food For Life Partnership.

Starting to Grow Organically Tuesday 22nd June 2010 ( 9:30am- 3:00pm) Great Missenden Primary School, Church Street, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire

An opportunity to visit another Food for Life Flagship School and get valuable tips, advice and support for those people who want to start growing organic food at school. This day is suitable for absolute beginners with no experience of gardening. Open to Parents, Teachers, Educators and all others working with schools to get growing!

Organic - Healthy Soil & Plants Waltham Place, Church Hill, White Waltham, Berkshire, SL6 3JH Monday 28th June 2010 ( 9:30am- 3:00pm)

A healthy organic garden involves soil care and management, with pest and disease prevention and control. Suitable for people who already have some experience of gardening, but would like to make the switch to more organic and planet friendly ways.

The Southampton Cycle Challenge is a fun and free workplace based challenge that encourages people to give cycling a go!

Organisations across Southampton will compete from 14 June to 4 July to see who can get the most staff to ride a bike for just 10 minutes or more.
